























High Fidelity – Egon Van Herreweghe
High Fidelity is built around five texts art critic Steven Humblet wrote about Egon Van Herreweghe's woodcuts exhibited in a window display in Brussels from 2019 till 2020. Since the texts are more than a support for the work, Egon decided to publish them as technical brochure. The original Dutch and English text were translated nine times with DeepL following the sequence of an existing technical brochure. That is, from English to German, from Dutch to Finnish, from Finnish to Norwegian, etc. This way mistakes in translation will render the final texts absurd or even unreadable and the publication will amplify the true meaning of the title it bears.
