Budget Meubelen – Egon Van Herreweghe
Budget Meubelen is a furniture brochure with documentation of Egon Van Herreweghe's Apartment for Sale exhibition from 2018. For this exhibition he made wooden replicas of the greatest common denominator in real estate brochures such as a grey couch, a wooden sideboard, a monstera, etc. The publication places the sculptures in a furniture brochure that was printed in large numbers as befits advertising. When the brochure was presented in 2020 at the Artist Print book fair in Brussels, interested parties were able to sign a contract stating that they had to mail 250 copies to unsuspecting neighbors. That way, in exchange for a personal copy, they helped to get the job done.
